Oh man, I just checked out the "fl studio." It looks badass... I am going to try my hand at a few songs.
I should be more clear about the difference between "old-school" rock and classic rock. I like everything, but when I mean old-school, I'm talking about bands like Pantera and Rage and so on.

Ah, you seem to delve into quite a different genre than myself. I shall check out these bands on youtube, the source of all human knowledge.
I'm more old-school in rock tastes, but I can definitely appreciate some of these bands. If you want to hear a guitarist that destroys, listen to the great Jason Becker. He's from the 80's, but can play an electric guitar like no other.
