Okay, since the issue of me being "straight" has been coming up all to often in chats recently, I'll try to clarify now, and refer anyone here if they ask me again.
I signed on to this site as being gay. That was because I needed help, desperately, and because I defined myself that way at the time. Since then I've had my ups and downs and I still have attraction towards guys, that hasn't changed.
But I've decided for the long run that that doesn't define me as a person, and that it doesn't mean I must pursue gay relationships. In fact, I would prefer what we all commonly know as a "straight" relationship. And that is how I intend to live my life.
I understand that there are hundreds, thousands, even millions who would disagree with my choice for lifestyle. In fact I've already had my position attacked several times since I made my choice.
I don't go out and tell people how to live their lives. I give personal advice and any help they want. But once they've made a choice, that's where voicing my views and opinions end.
If anyone wants to ask me about this, wants to offer advice or is just curious, that's fine. In fact I welcome discussion. But I won't tolerate anyone "telling" me that I'm wrong, that I can't or shouldn't do this.
None of us lives their life perfectly enough to judge or condemn how others chose to live theirs. |
