as much as i enjoy reading your articles and find them personally accessable, do you not think on a website aimed at teenagers a lot of people will be alienated by your vocabulary and style? just a thought. 
 
i also dont like the idea of being called queer. it has definite connotations of 'the other', suggesting that gay people are 'queer' when measured up to the prototype - the hetrosexual.
