I think the word Gay will stop being negative in some time, because it's primary definition is happy . Queer however means strange, weird and that there's something off about something . Why can't Queer and gay just change places? Queer is a negative word by definition, gay isn't.
I think that if people don't like something they should try educating themselves about it instead of labeling it.
