There are some insults surrounding homosexuality that bother me, but 'gay' isn't one of them. Shortly after I came out my friends would constantly catch themselves, and it was me who told them not to. I know that they don't mean it offensively, it has quite simply adopted a whole new meaning. It's not a word I ever use (as an insult) but it doesn't bother me when others use it unless it is directed at me with intent to upset me. xxx
