omg i do that too. my parents do the same thing but i dont think they really recognize my sexuality despite the fact i told them 2 yrs ago (i think they forgot). i actually ended up telling my parents i was bi unintentionally. i was crying in my room because i girl i liked and had been friends with just stopped talking to me. my mom was trying to figure out what was wrong and instead of lying and faking a random panic attack or something i came out. the next couple of days were so INCREDIBLY awkward and im pretty sure they thought something was wrong with me but now i at least feel better i told my family even if they prolly didnt take it seriously.
